Responsible for the management of the Technology Services Group. The group is comprised of teams of network and system engineers who are tasked with designing, establishing standards, and supporting the infrastructure for Networking, Telecommunications, and Server and Desktop Architecture for the agency. Managed team of three engineers tasked with designing, establishing standards, and implementing infrastructure for Messaging, Collaboration, Antivirus, and Active Directory space. The team supported and enhanced business critical systems across eight physically diverse locations. ▪ Designed and implemented MS Exchange 2003 Messaging environment, Active Directory environment, and Email Archiving environment. ▪ Devised and implemented enterprise file and print server structure that consolidated 35 file servers to 3 file and print clusters. ▪ Migrated MS Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 that consolidated 40 servers to 8 geographically dispersed clusters. ▪ Analyzed acquired business mail systems requirements and integrated into Mellon’s mail and domain structure. Totaled approximately 4000 mailboxes. ▪ Worked with IBM and Microsoft as part of IBM RDP program to standardize on Windows 2000 as standard distributed computing platform. ▪ Implemented Systems Management tools for Windows Server and Desktop environments. ▪ Implemented IM service for trading associates utilizing FaceTime IM Auditor product to comply with SEC regulations.▪ Developed desktop and server policies and standards for NT 4 environment impacting 17,000 users. ▪ Designed and implemented NT 4 domain strategy.▪ Served as key resource for NDS domain design.Implemented enterprise fax server strategy permitting fax transmittal from user desktops.
