Responsible for all Outbound activity for the Aftermarket Global Distribution Centre of a well known British Automotive Brand, managing Domestic and Export markets with stock replenishment and urgent orders.Span of control of 80 Team Members across 2 Shifts and 4 Teams.Implementation of effective structure and operational visibility has delivered a significant change in day to day management of the operation, allowing my leadership team to focus on improvement activities.

Managing the Production Control, Shipping and Dispatch teams of an Aftermarket Global Distribution Centre for a Premium British Automotive brand, serving global markets with Sea, Air and Road freight. During this time I also supported go-live and post-live operations with Unipart, both domestic and international, and led the groups Digital Agenda for my home site.Key achievement was to bring stability to my teams in the form of team engagement and capability.

Placement 4Automotive SectorI led a large step-change project within our contract packer to improve Cost, Quality and Delivery to customer requirements. This involved applying my experience in Change Management, Six Sigma and Lean Principles to achieve above and beyond our goals.Through process control and culture changes, we have increased the amount of product packed within 24 hours from 30% of goods received to over 95%. Providing our customer with a 2 day reduction in lead-time on over 60% of product. We have also increased efficiency by 12%, saving a significant amount of labour.Placement 3Automotive SectorManaging the Inbound packing operation of a large aftermarket automotive distribution centre, serving the global network of a premium British car manufacturer. Focusing on improvements to the Inbound Non-conformance process and improving flow within the area.Placement 2Automotive SectorProviding project management support for two large automotive distribution centres. Key success was the development and trial of a proof of concept for global supply chain synchronisation, this concept would align the processes of global warehouses to reduce overall lead-time and resourcing requirements.Placement 1Consumer SectorI spent 6 months working at the UK distribution hub of a large UK retailer. Through the use of Six Sigma, I redesigned a putaway rework process to ensure issues were root caused and resolved. This led to a 60% reduction in repetitive material requiring rework, and a 45k per annum resource reduction.I ran the Warehouse e-commerce operation through a time of significant change across site, ensuring delivery was consistent despite this, and driving continuous improvement in the area.
