The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs and films. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums the Museum of Discovery and Science serves more than 450,000 visitors annually and is a private, non-profit museum governed by a Board of Trustees. Over 10 million visitors have enjoyed this downtown institution since opening in 1992.Located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Arts and Science District the 150,000 sq. ft. Museum is packed with dynamic science exhibits, learning labs, café, store and grand atrium. The 300-seat AutoNation IMAX® 3D Theater featuring both 2D and 3D films is the only Certified Giant Screen in South Florida. The Museum currently has an $8.5 million annual operating budget and over $4.3 million endowment.

Founded in 1825, the Worcester Natural History Society is the second oldest natural history society in the United States. Operating as the EcoTarium since 1998, the organization is New England’s leading science and nature center. Part science museum, part children’s museum and part nature center the museum has over 55,000 objects in our collection and inspires a passion for science and nature. Responsible for providing vision, strategy (including strategic planning), guidance and leadership to a dynamic team. Highlights include;• Over 175,000 annual visitors (a growth of almost 40% since 2011) and dozens of community partnerships• Managing an annual operating budget of $4million and two separate Campaign budgets• Completion of an $8.2million Capital Campaign (Third Century Phase 1) in 2014• Completion of an $8.8million Capital Campaign (Third Century Phase 2) in 2018• Established the Museum as the first National Geographic Partner Museum in New England• Received three National Science Foundation grants and largest ever corporate grant ($1.5million) and individual gift ($2million) as well as increased membership by over 30%

Responsible for the oversight of the development of a 30,000 square foot, $25million Children's Museum. Responsibilities include museum planning and construction oversight, budget management, exhibit design and implementation, fundraising, program development, strategic planning, management of a 2200 object collection, volunteer and staff recruitment.

Responsible for the management of a 14 acre Nature Center including environmental education and museum programs, gift shop, boat tours and a natural history museum. Secured over $500,000 in funding for museum exhibits and programs. Completed AAM Museum Assessment Program (Public Dimension) and began Accreditation. Led international bird watching tours to Costa Rica.

Developed, coordinated, and implemented environmental education museum programs for children and adults. Trained and supervised a group of over 300 volunteers on an ongoing basis. Secured funding for, designed and implemented museum exhibits.
