At Edgewood, I served the college in many different ways. My main role was the professional advisor in the school of education. I developed relationships with education and child life students, assisted them in course selection, helped develop academic plans, and help them navigate higher education. I utilized my career development background to help students select a major, determine a career path that was right for them, and how to make themselves stand out in a competitive job market. In the school of education, I was an active member of many committees including the School of Education Steering committee. I assisted the deans with a number of different administrative tasks that help ensure the school operated at a high level. I have took on leadership roles throughout my time at the college. I was elected to be on the executive board of the campus staff association and served as the convener.

•Advised students on different career development topics including: resume and cover letter development, interviewing skills and employment applications •Presented to classes on different career development topics

•Collaborated with faculty to prepare course materials for classes in the Educational Leadership Department•Managed marketing materials for the Educational Leadership Department and coordinate preparation with other campus departments •Utilized technology to analyze and assess survey data to ensure program goals were being met

•Advised diverse groups of students on a wide range of career development topics including; career exploration, resume development, interviewing techniques and job search strategies •Presented to large and small groups ranging from 15 to 100 students regarding upcoming career events and professional skill development•Facilitated workshops on effective resume writing using small group collaboration activities and technology integration to classes containing 15 to 20 students•Implemented and design the Careers in Sports Workshop for students interested in a career in the sports industry that engages students with the content•Marketed the Careers in Sports Workshop by presenting to campus clubs and organizations resulting in the highest student turnout of all the office sponsored workshops•Represent career services in different outreach activities including: The Taste of Oshkosh, freshman odyssey events, community advisor campus tours, and classroom visits to learning communities •Assessed effectiveness of workshops and presentations by collaborating with faculty to distribute assessment surveys to students following each event and classroom visit •Provided support for office-sponsored career events including Networking Workshops, Mock Interviews, Creating Connections, and Dinning with Professionals •Built relationships and communicated with 400 employers supporting the Titan Jobs database update

I supervised in-school suspensions and communicated with teachers regarding students missing assignments.
