Going back to a pure technical role, the stuff I love. Working with a great team here on the industry leading live-streaming and on-demand video platform. I get to spend my days deep in the AWS stack architecting server and server-less solutions and developing event-driven, highly scalable, and highly resilient solutions to some of our biggest challenges.

I was in charge of software engineering across Rodale for e-commerce, fulfillment, and distribution. We were removing over 15 years of technical debt and obstacles to transform the company's capabilities in commerce, but...

I ran the web and e-commerce teams. We completely rebuilt the website and added a bleeding edge HTML5 web client to create our photo products.

I joined as a senior developer on the portal team. I managed a new online marketing team I helped create in IT to support marketing initiatives across all brands. I also worked on and managed development teams on the brand content sites.

1 year project at Goldman Sachs working on a massive HR project to globally move the company to PeopleSoft. My role was to write Java interfaces between PeopleSoft and all the Goldman Sachs internal systems. 1 year project at JP Morgan leading the software development and technology tasks to allow JP Morgan's re-entrance into the securities lending market after they sold their prior sec-lending business to Bank of NY 5 years prior. 1 year project at JP Morgan enhancing and supporting a custom built Java application used by more than 200 users for pricing credit derivatives and managing portfolio credit risk. 1 year project collaborating with Sears on their wireless phone website that allows customers to manage their account, view/pay bills, and buy additional minutes.

I was a go-to developer for Finance, Payroll, and Disbursements departments. I became a master of Unix shell scripting and Java application development. I hear a lot of my work is still running 16 years later.

As a budding, young developer I wrote Unix shell scripts and C/Pro-C programs migrate data used in pharmaceutical trials. I also customized and managed Documentum installations at these pharmaceutical companies - an industry leading software package for massively managing documents.
