After finishing my undergraduate work, I drove to Colorado to play in the mountains. Six months later, after realizing I needed a better-paying job to fund my hobbies, I joined an ecommerce start-up that sold outdoor equipment. While I took the job primarily because of the discounts on gear, I soon became more fascinated by e commerce. This was the turning point in my professional career.The years I helped build Vail’s e commerce company were some of the most professionally exciting in my life. I was involved in every aspect of the business, from packing boxes to hard-coding product pages for better SEO rankings. After 5 years, I decided to move back east. I spent months struggling to find a job, while living in a tiny apartment with 4 friends. Luckily, just as I ran out of money, I was offered a position with a much bigger ecommerce company. With computer and electronic accessories, I got to learn how to market millions of SKUs with a multi-million dollar advertising budget. At this point, I didn’t think anything could be better.The internet marketing landscape was rapidly changing and agencies were building huge teams to manage the world's largest digital ad campaigns. Razorfish was the best place anyone in the industry could have hoped to work for and I got in.At Razorfish, my knowledge grew from paid search, comparison shopping engines, and SEO, to all media tactics, strategy and beyond. I was fortunate to work with and learn from some of the most influential leaders in the industry and some of the world's leading brands. I also had the pleasure of mentoring some of the brilliant talent that Razorfish is known for.After ten years with Razorfish, I acquired the knowledge and experience to go out on my own with a new full time pursuit.I am now focused on building my own digital agency and putting 100% of my effort into making Moving Traffic Media the kind of company I’ve always wanted to be a part of.
