Worked to create new tools to aid in-camera virtual production through the entire pipeline from 3D capture of physical environments through on-stage control applications. Obtained patent US Patent 11,716,521 B2 Using IR sensor with beam splitter to obtain depth.

Contributed to a number of Virtual Reality experiences for Sony Corporate Development. Lead Engineer for a branching narrative horror experience based on Sony IP and a relaxing meditation experience. Negotiated design issues between executive and artistic interests to create two engaging VR pieces.

Rapidly developed prototypes for multiple VR and AR platforms, including Oculus Rift, Snapdragon 835 VR, and Microsoft HoloLens. Became proficient with tools for targeting Oculus Rift and HoloLens in Unity. Collaborated with CTO and lead engineers to foster and implement best practices for VR.

Speedy Packets developed Speedy TCP, an alternative to traditional TCP. Speedy TCP takes advantage of Random Linear Network Coding to speed up network file transfers. During my time there, I ported their C code from Linux to Android using the Android Native Development Kit. I overcame issues of scattered documentation and worked mostly independently on the project. Currently, the Android app is being used for internal testing and demos to potential customers. I also built an automatic test system using several virtual machines emulating a network and python scripting. It automatically tests speed performance using a set of selected parameters, graphs the results, and stores them in easily accessible spreadsheets.
