I also served on the Executive Board of the Northeast Chamber of Commerce, a Member of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Texas Municipal League, and the National League of Cities. During my time in office, the City purchased the drinking water and waste water systems from our neighboring city, implemented flood control measures including constructing a recreational lake, the expansion of a US Highway from two lanes to seven, and an explosion of economic growth by creating a 68 acre retail shopping center. During my tenure as a Councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem, I also served as President of the Watauga Parks & Economic Development Corporation and the Secretary of the Watauga Crime Control and Prevention District.
