In this role, I develop and maintain HL7 interfaces to integrate between clinical systems within the organization as well as external healthcare partners. My time is spent working with clinical partners, database administrators and external vendors to create optimal data management for the organization while ensuring data accuracy for clinical practices. I am certified with Level 1 Cloverleaf Integration Engine and Epic Bridges and integrate with many third party vendors.

System and operational responsibility for the area of health information systems. Responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient health information systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. This position is responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to system issues, and will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of health information system investments. This position will be responsible for department operations including, but not limited to, staff management, preparing and managing the departmental budget, management of projects and health information system functions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and other law.

As HIM Systems Analyst I was responsible for data integration with other internal and external systems. This involves managing interface updates, application updates, validation, and trouble shooting. I also managed system application upgrades for the ambulatory EMR. This task involves project management, holding internal and external partners responsible, validations, and discovery. Beyond application upgrades I acted as liaison for hardware upgrades between the vendor and internal system administrators. On a continuous bases I was part of many projects that involve integration, most recently with our inpatient EHR System - Cerner Millennium. In addition I create procedures and training material for the monitoring of errors and troubleshooting among the many interface connections and load programs. Above all the work I performed contributed to a safe and secure legal medical record repository as well allows for more efficient patient care.

As store manager I was solely responsible for the daily activities including accounting, inventory control, human resources, training, and future planning. Given the opportunity to take a struggling community store and turn it into a bright, clean, helpful environment as well as increase the profit margin was an excellent starting point to help develop my management skills as well as the soft people skills that make a good manager, great.
