Senior Vice President
CurrentJoe Durkin is a Senior Vice President in Burford’s asset recovery business. He is responsible for Burford investments in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the wider Middle East and North Africa specializing in assessing, underwriting and managing construction, arbitration and commercial litigation disputes. Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Durkin worked as an Investment Manager at LCM Finance, where he was responsible for leading the organization’s origination strategy across the MENA region. He previously worked as Managing Partner at Falcon Partners Limited, where he oversaw all business operations with GCC conglomerates, Fortune 500 companies and global construction companies. He started his career as a solicitor at Maples and Calder, where he was part of the capital markets team.Mr. Durkin earned his undergraduate degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies from University College Dublin and completed his professional solicitor’s course at the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland.
