Hi, my name is Joe Fernandez. I currently reside in Orlando Florida and for the last few years, I've been committed to the growth of entrepreneurs and the Orlando tech community.I majored in Integrated Business at the University of Central Florida and minored in Technological Entrepreneurship which has provided me with an abundance of opportunities to learn more about the industry I hope to influence. Through this, I’ve identified which roles would allow me to create the most positive impact as a leader. I’ve held leadership positions in multiple school organizations, such as the Vice President and President of Knights Mixed Martial Arts club where I was the head instructor for 3 years and fight team captain. I was also the Chair of Recruitment for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club at UCF which met weekly to discuss private investments and hosted subject matter experts to speak at meetings. After much success within the UCF community, I sought out career relevant opportunities within the technology sector. I began working at Starter Studio's ideation phase accelerator program where I was utilized among eight different technology startups as a business resource. I advised teams of entrepreneurs working with different technologies and solidified business models to improve their company's presentations. I began working as a Project Manager for one of the eight startups, Launchable, a technology firm that utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) to create functional and immersive experiences for enterprise companies. After a few months in this position, I became a partner of the company and began my role as COO. During this time, I became an organizer of Orlando Tech and Beers, Orlando's largest monthly technology networking event.I currently work directly with the CEO and VPs of Echo Interaction Group to support their growing demand for products and services. I also take on a creative role in the strategic applications and solutions of various technologies.
