I originally started as an Account Handler in our Customer Support department, controlling MEL Aviation’s biggest accounts by providing daily support to a number of major companies within the Civil Aviation industry.In 2015 I progressed into Business Development following the strong business relationships I had developed whilst in Customer Support. I now work closely with the Managing Director and Directors of the company, with my main responsibility being to assist with the growth of MEL Aviation Ltd as well as other companies within The MEL Group. This includes various tasks, but essentially I am always striving to develop and strengthen relationships with both existing & new customers, as well as suppliers too, which enables us to offer the best value to our customers. My main achievements to date in this role have been to win several large contracts, and also working with some of the biggest companies in Aviation, changing their perception of MEL Aviation Ltd from negatives to being our biggest customers.

At Southampton City College I was the Assistant Purchasing Coordinator, an extremely varied role which included product sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier management and much more.Through my Customer Service and Supervisory skills, in just one year I led the Purchasing Department from 17th (out of 20) to 1st in the College’s Business Support Customer Service Survey. This then resulted in myself being awarded the ‘Above and Beyond the Call of Duty (ABCD) Award’ chosen out of over 200 members of staff.My key duties were: • Providing excellent service and support across the college with regards to all purchasing procedures• Supervision & management of a small team• Contract negotiation, including assisting in the £34 million college redevelopment project• Business development and communication• Creating team procedures & monitoring stock levels• Training members of staff throughout the college on the various systems• Keeping accurate records for audit purpose• Processing tenders• Responding to both internal and external customer queries in an efficient manner

During the winter breaks while I worked for Park Resorts, I was employed by Barna Shields Recruitment Agency as a temporary member of staff, where I was posted to various assignments

During this period, from March until November, I spent 3 seasons as a 'Teamstar' Entertainer for Park Resorts where I became a popular presenter.

CPG Logistics was my first full time employer where I was introduced to Customer Service and my skills started to develop
