Joseph Mendonca was the Vice President of Digital Media Systems at HB Communications, focused on leading the marketing, sales, and deployment efforts for all Digital Media solutions including Digital Signage, Enterprise Video Content Management Systems, IPTV, Streaming, and Video Content Distribution Solutions. Advanced Visual Technologies (AVT) was a leading provider of engineering services to the Broadcast and Video Production industry. AVT specialized in designing, integrating, and on servicing broadcast environments such as studios, headends, control rooms, video/audio editing suites, etc... AVT became well cognized as a leading provider of computer graphics, animation, and non-linear editing systems across the United States. I was involved on every part of the business including marketing, sales, operations, services, and the customer lifecycle.

Designed memory boards for the DEC PDP11 and the VAX main frame computers. Responsible for defining product direction, product development, and product deployment. I was also responsible to provide engineering support to Digital Corporation's television broadcast network, which is what introduced this young electrical engineer fresh out of school to the video industry.
