I'm Joe, and I've been designing ​products and leading teams for ​over a decade. I’m all about the day-to-day work, skills, leadership, and resourcefulness that it takes to turn great ideas into great products. Between running my own startup, and building products for dozens of clients, I've learned plenty of lessons that I bring into my work everyday.I started Bitesize UX as a 20-minute extra credit project for my design students, and turned into an educational platform that has helped over 45,000 designers advance their skills and careers. As the founder, head of product, and lead designer, I wear many hats. I've done a lot to turn Bitesize into a thriving community of designers - but, I didn't do it alone. I've hired & led a small-but-mighty team of designers, developers, instructors, and marketing professionals to scale our product on a shoestring budget. In over 10 years as a self employed Lead Product Designer, I've worked on teeny-tiny startups, large enterprise companies, *unglamourous-but-important* back-end web apps, slick Smart TV Interfaces, and a whole bunch of stuff in between.
