CONNECT is a non-profit startup accelerator in San Diego where I mentored several companies.

Financed the installation of solar water-heating systems for 100+ unit condos and apartments. Took tax credits that they couldn't monetize and sold them the energy under PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements).

Successfully integrated StarMine (see below) into Thomson Reuters post-acquisition.

Founder and CEO of StarMine, a provider of analytics via data feeds and web software to professional stock pickers and to broker-research firms. StarMine is famous for "objectively measuring the performance of Wall Street analysts" and developing profitable stock-ranking analytics. We grew quickly and earned a spot on the Inc 500 List of Fastest Growing U.S. Companies 3 years in a row. We grew sales to $33m per year of recurring revenue and sold to Thomson Reuters for $100m.I raised 2 angel rounds and 3 venture rounds totalling $15m. I built an awesome team 115 strong, interviewing every candidate hired and 100s more who weren't. I was deeply involved with development of products and analytics and was inventor or co-inventor on 7 U.S. patents granted. I developed broad experience in fund raising, business and product development, product prioritization, pre-sales, sales, and account management. Employees have thanked me for my clear vision and clear communication which allowed them to excel. They also appreciated the non-political culture I fostered which emphasised constructive debate and rational decision making.
