Early in my career, I was thrust into a position of leadership well before I felt ready. Fortunately, I was blessed to have great mentors and coaches who taught me and modeled what true leadership looks like. I am still learning and growing as a leader, and I continue to be in the debt of the guides who have helped me along the way. Along my 30+ year career as a banking and real estate executive, I have tried to repay that debt by becoming a coach and mentor to colleagues with whom I have worked and a trusted advisor to clients that I have served. That is why, for the next chapter of my career, I felt called to become an executive coach. I have partnered with Vistage to help me continue to grow as a coach and leader. As a Vistage Chair, I help CEOs and business executives leverage the power of peer advisory to become better leaders and make better decisions.My role as Chair is to curate a group of members to ensure we have diversity of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives at our table, with leaders who are committed to sharing and providing candid feedback in a safe and confidential setting. I facilitate meetings that create an environment of trust and accountability, and ask questions to make sure that members have correctly identified and are working on the right issues.
