Joe was part of the turn-around team that took control over WebMD after the dot.com bubble burst. The company was in dire straights. Share price had collapsed from $103 to $3 per share and the company was struggling to survive with a $90M burn rate. Joe restructured the marketing department, cut wasteful spending and created & executed a new marketing strategy that lead to 80 million registered members while establishing WebMD as the most trusted source for online health information.As the Head of Product Development, Joe led development of WebMD Premium Services including the WebMD Weight Loss Clinic and WebMD Fertility Clinic. As the Head of Marketing at WebMD''s Physician portal, Medscape, Joe created and executed the marketing strategy that grew Medscape into the leader in online CRM with a database of over 400,000 high prescribing physicians. Joe then worked with Pharma sponsors to create highly efficient marketing campaigns targeting Medscape doctors to introduce new drugs or grow market share.
