A certified allied health professional working as an integral member of a team delivering operating room surgical care while being mindful of sterile and aseptic technique. The members of the team include the surgeon, surgeon's assistant, residents, medical students, a circulating nurse and anesthesia providers. My goal as a surgical technologists is to be able to expertly anticipate the surgeons needs promoting make a smooth procedure as efficiently as possible; having knowledge of hundreds of surgical procedures and the wide range of surgical instruments including specialty instruments.Specialties are - GU/ObGyn, pediatrics, urology, trauma, plastics, general, orthopedics, neurology, vascular and thoracic services. I have a keen interest in First Assist sometime in the near future. I'm a former Graphic Designer of many years with a continued passion for the arts in all its forms. I'm always interested in design work from time-to-time (graphic & design from logos to websites and presentations).
