The RCR Internship offered a broad scope of professional work experience. In this program I worked closely with professionals in our Marketing Department, Competition Department, Engineering Department, Sponsor Department, and our Executive Office. The goal of this program was to give me an understanding of how all of our departments work and function together to deliver unparalleled results to RCR Sponsorship Partners. MARKETING: Assisted the RCR social media department in creating digital content for RCR, ECR Engines, and Roland Graphics. SPONSORSHIP: Assisted the Sponsorship department with our Corporate Sponsor promotions and marketing programs. Assisted with product activation and marketing implementation via RCR motorsports platform. ENGINEERING DEPT: Attended all Monday driver debrief meetings where I coordinated with Race Team management, drivers, and engineers to create the agenda. I participated in discussions about team performance and results. A SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity, Threats) analysis at end of the meeting was submitted to the internship supervisor. C-SUITE: Assisted the RCR business development team with sales, operations and analytical support. I learned the internal operations of a motorsports business.I had a weekly meeting with President to discuss my internship deliverables and personal performance.This Internship was an unbelievable experience. The days were long, the work was hard, and I loved every minute of it. Working at Richard Childress Racing showed me that their success, on and off the track, is a result of great people, dedication to the corporate mission, and dedication to delivering incredible activation to their blue-chip corporate partners.
