Helped pioneer and grow the company for 21 years. When we started in 1998 AdvoCare was a small direct sales company. Over the course of the 21 years, we helped build AdvoCare into a household name. We were honored as the first double winner of the Hall of Fame and Spirit of Advocare awards. We believe we had developed one of the greatest teams in direct sales history. Not the biggest team but the best. Best trained and most professional the way our founder Charlie Ragus wanted it to be.

Head football coach for Union Community High School. Direct and assign all responsibilities of 9-12th program at the class 2A and 3A levels in Iowa including organization, administration, and implementation of vision, plan, and execution thereof. 2010 Iowa Shrine Bowl defensive coordinator, 2010 Union HS coach of year, 2010-2011 named 3A D5 coach of year, and in 2011 named Iowa State 3A Coach of Year, 2012 named 2A D3 coach of year, 2014 2A D6 coach of the year, 2016 Most Valuable High School Football Coach in the U.S. final three nationwide, in a contest sponsored by U.S. Cellular. Union has made the Iowa High School playoffs for 11 consecutive seasons, one of the longest consecutive playoff runs to date in 2A.

Huddle coach for Union Community group FCA Huddle and helping assist with annual Fields of Faith event each fall. We championed other schools to have an event where lives were changed. 12 years running with over 800 attending each event in the last few years.

Own and operate two gyms in Dysart and La Porte City, IA offering 24 hour access with the finest cardiovascular, selectorized, and free weight equipment. Also first gym owner in Iowa with RKC kettlebell certification. Gyms still operate today with Joe's Gym as the name.

Responsibility for all areas of running a NCAA DIII football program including staffing, assignments, recruiting, strength & conditioning, evaluation, and goal setting. Given directive to take program in a new direction. Inherited a program that was averaging two wins per year and final two seasons went (7-3). Helped develop a culture that emphasized being a champion in the classroom, on the field, and within the community. Career record: (22-18). Two former players inducted into BVU Hall of Fame: 2017 Carlos Martinez, PK, and in 2018 Jeff Brennan, FS.

Served as offensive coordinator for NCAA IAA and III programs under HFCs Nick Quartaro and Rob Ash. Position coach of OL, TE, RB at various times during career. Strength & conditioning coach working with over 20 NSCA All-Americans. IAA Pioneer League champions, fall 1995.
