• slotRadio™ won Best of Show at the 2009 Flash memory summit, “Most innovative consumer application.” 1000 songs preloaded on a high-security microSD card for $40.• Led the design teams, wrote the primary design specs, and wrote the technical whitepaper used to sell the concept to movie studios and major music labels.• slotVideo™ was released by MetroPCS with promotional movies: IronMan 2™ on the Samsung Galaxy Indulge (2011) and Kung Fu Panda 2™ on the Huawei Activa 4G (2012).• Wrote the main behavioral specs and card API wire protocol and designed the navigation/system layout, file formats, etc. for both ecosystems.• Served as the architect for the secure card used for Cricket wireless Muve™ Music subscription service. The Muve™ card was based on the slotRadio™ architecture.

• Sansa Clip+ – 2nd best-selling audio player in the US after the Apple iPod. One of the last audio-only players still selling in retail channels, now as the SanDisk Clip Jam and Clip Sport.• Managed the firmware platform team for the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ and Fuze players. New SoC bring-up; ROM code; RTOS and IO drivers; media decoders; PlayReady DRM. • Pioneered the first use of open source firmware in a SanDisk product (Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, zlib) and helped the legal department launch a company-wide Open Source Steering committee.

• Managed R&D outsourcing for USB U3™ app testing & FAT16/32 production image development. • Developed Kamino tool used for preloading content onto storage devices for future products.• Brought in CMM training and licensed tools (Jira defect tracking, etc.) for software development lifecycle (SDLC) process improvements.
