I have a very broad and deep background in Networking, Information Technology, and the soft skills required to excel in this field. I have a deep knowledge of Juniper & Cisco routers and switches, Cisco firewalls, and Juniper SRX firewalls. I have worked extensively with open routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF & RIP) as well as various MPLS technologies and protocols. I am strong in Network Routing, Network Security implementation, network troubleshooting, & concepts. I have implemented and maintained very large IP routed networks and have worked in both a pre-sales and a consulting role with several Tier 1 Internet Service Providers around the globe. Currently I am an "Advanced Services Consulting Engineer" for Juniper Networks. In this role I help to ensure overall customer success as well as successful outcomes of shorter-term customer projects. In another previous position I held, I was one of 8 people (out of 326 professionals in the network services organization) that was on the senior level network architecture team responsible for the design and maintenance of the United Airlines IP routed backbone. This very large routed backbone collapsed over 10,000 sites (thousands of travel agencies & all airports) around the entire globe. I have strong written and oral communication skills, and have trained and mentored many coworkers during my career in both technical and soft skills. I have a long background in public speaking and technical presenting, and have trained many other technical folks in these skills.
