With 24 years’ experience in the equities markets, Joe Hede co-founded RS Strategies, Inc., in Norwalk, Connecticut. Consulting a venture capital fund, Joe Hede focuses on healthcare and technology start-ups.Hede’s financial career dates back to service as a senior managing director at Wachovia Securities Network, where he handled some $250 million in assets for mutual funds and initial public offerings. He then moved to Advanced Equities, Inc., and raised $500 million for new Silicon Valley firms. His expertise earned him a seat on the President’s Council for five straight years.Building on his success in venture capital, Hede transferred to Roth Capital Partners, running the largest private equity team in New York. In his next position at Paulson Investment Company, he shifted his focus to small biotechnology companies.Joe Hede graduated with honors in business administration from Monmouth College, helping the community as a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Leading an active family life, Hede enjoys rooting for his children at basketball games and soccer matches. He has traveled widely, with vacations in Aruba, Jamaica, Italy, and Greece.
