Responsible for the final acquisition/acceptance and conversion/refurbishing of a facility to consolidate two remote facilities, and to expand considerably beyond initial capacity. Directed a complete redesign of the acquired facility, incorporating Lean throughout all phases of design and build. Drove the re-engineering of the proposal to reduce contracted costs from $1.8MM to $1.1MM with only minimal effect on functionality. Specified/selected owner purchased materials for the facility, with total expenditures in excess of $3MM. Project duration from building acquisition to move-in was 5 months, on time and in budget. Brought about significant improvements in IT/Lims program, initiated Lean in the Lab training, while driving the Quality system to near perfect result in ISO 17025, Snecma and multiple customer audits.
