Schedules included:Reserves and Allowances / Purchase Commitment Obligations / Sales by Customer / Sales by Country / Global Restructuring Reserve and Expense / Fixed Assets / Intangible Assets / Impact of F/X Rates on Cash Flow / Other Assets / Other Liabilities / Long Term Lease Payment Obligations. — Consolidated company’s global restructuring reserve activities, which included: a) SEC footnote disclosure update, b) quarterly auditor letter preparation, c) determining whether company’s activities qualified as restructuring costs, and d) serving as primary worldwide point of contact with outside auditors.— Consolidated world-wide cash flow reporting activities and developed cash flow model used by the company.— Contributor to company’s adoption of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).— Developed and maintained worldwide operating lease library and database. Recognized for MD&A (management, discussion, and analysis) abilities.— Coordinated company’s annual operational, resource and capital budgeting activities, including the development of the requisite tools used by all 70+ departments.— Developed and maintained company’s standard cost and job cost accounting models used for job quotes, production cost allocations and new-product break-even analysis.— Managed and maintained company’s report-writer based financial reporting system.Select Accomplishments:• Developed manufacturing model to budget newsprint consumption. Newsprint volume variance on 35 million pounds of consumption was less than one percent (1%) for three consecutive fiscal years, while raw material days in inventory simultaneously reduced from 25 to 13 days.• Implemented A/P and sales tax procedures resulting in sales tax audit findings being 86% less than previous audit.• Markedly improved accounts payable cycle time through use of spreadsheet and upload files. One such file improved a process whereby payment to 120 independent contractors was reduced from 120 handwritten and signed forms to a process with just one form. Improvement resulted in $90K savings to company through two person complement reduction.
