Responsible for multiple locations compliance with corporate policies and franchise agreement. Reviewing P&L to find ways to save money and increase gross profit. Communicate with staff and Franchisee to ensure they understand the direction of the company and execute the plans. Responsible for the 7 now delivery program with in my market. Ensure compliance with policy and accurate and timely delivery of items.

I am responsible for 12 stores in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I ensure all stores comply with all scheduling policies, and provide training as needed. I review projected sales and ensure accuracy and change as needed. I am responsible for checking freight into the store and ensure projections and payroll are accurate. I follow up on labor metrics and find the root cause for any misses and help them control the one biggest expense in any business. I work directly with the Phoenix, AZ home office and have meetings with all levels of management up to and including the CEO. I was chosen to be the pilot district to roll out new programs.

I owned and operated a Real Estate Title search and recording business. During my nearly 3 years in this business, I have hired and trained 3 employees to research all titles and related documents at the 7 local courthouses, as well as to record those documents on a time sensitive basis and to provide superior customer service to my clients at all times. I have also maintained all records and billing for the company using Intuit QuickBooks. I have established and supervised this venture concurrently with my employment with Tomlin Temple, PC.

I was responsible for supervising and training a staff of 3 to 5 full and part-time employees. I had full responsibility for ensuring the accurate and timely return of all documents for loans that have closed. We were charged with recording any and all documents in accordance with all federal and state finance laws, and properly disburse all funds related to such documents. Furthermore, I instilled in my team a commitment to serving our internal as well as our external customers with the highest degree of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. During my tenure, I created and implemented several time and money saving procedures that have benefited the firm and it’s customers.

As the Operations Manager, I was charged with all HR and Administrative responsibilities, such as recruiting, hiring, and training to maintain an hourly staff of 35 sales, stock and specialty associates. I frequently used performance management tools to develop and promote associates and well as to cycle out under-performers. I was also accountable for all P&L expenditures. In this capacity, I improved the store’s bottom-line 10K by correcting fraudulent charges and reducing controllable expenses. Also, during this time period, the store’s shrink dropped by 33% while our internal audit scores jumped from 70% to 93%.

I led Store Openings Teams of 6 - 10 team members throughout the country, to open new store locations from Manhattan to Orlando to California. I successfully trained new-store management as well as hourly associates in the policies and procedures of T.J. Maxx. In this function, I wrote new and edited many existing training manuals for store communications, IT systems, and other areas. I was responsible for constantly reassessing training needs and adjusting schedules for trainees and trainers alike. I was also responsible for accurately communicating with home office as to the needs, development level, and skills of the new store’s staff. I utilized performance management tools to provide all necessary feedback to each new store’s staff. I was also held accountable for attracting, maintaining, and developing diversity at all locations.
