After graduating from the City University of NY (BC) in 1978, I started my career in Wall Street working in Options Trading at EF Hutton & Company. After 2 years, I worked in the Marine Industry as a Steamship Boarding Agent. I was involved in all aspects of sea transportation. This included providing pilots and tugs (in the harbor of NY & NJ) to move the great ships. I was responsible preparing documentation for government agencies including US Customs, US Immigrations, USDA, and the US Coast Guard. After several years as an agent, I was promoted to General Manager of Agency and was voted-in by the Board of Directors of the NY Maritime Association to serve as Director-Secretary of that prestigious association. I started my own shipping agency in 1992 and served as President of Joe Keating Agency for a period of three years. The shipping industry was undergoing many changes, as it still is, and I was forced to leave the business due to financial stress. I found myself involved in a few sales organizations. The ones I best recall are: Kirby and Terminix. Finally I landed at Advanced Filtration in 1997 as a result of my sales activity at Terminex. I was looking for termites and found that I had an aptitude for all type of bugs. Especially the kind you find in water. I have been in filtration sales for the past 10 years and found a new, but short lived home, at Filter Equipment Company. This didn't work out for either of us so now I seeking another sales or management position. I have a great gift to be able to find things through my resourcefulness, my love for my fellow man and my thirst for sales. I look forward to rejoining the work force.
