Atari was in every house growing up, but ours. I received a computer and a book on Basic programming in elementary school and within six months I had written versions of Centipede and Space Invaders. I've never stopped creating. In my 30 plus years in the Technology profession I've been lucky enough to work on some of the largest, most complex systems in the world, with some of the best teams.I've been managing over 25 years but remain a hands on Architect and Developer. I've run development, architecture, telecom, server and data center operations, UX and integration organizations for various companies. I've been responsible for infrastructures larger than 270 physical production servers (thousands of virtuals), integrated locations across 27 countries, owned warehouses processing more than $1.7 Trillion in assets daily, performed IV&V on realtime transaction systems sending over $800 Trillion annually and was brought in to help remediate the largest data breach in US history.I have acted as CIO/CTO for a few start-ups and incorporated 2 companies (sold off or retired at this point). The IT service provider I built brought resources to under-funded and non-profit entities. Not my most profitable move, but perhaps the most rewarding. In 2008 we helped a now sold start-up come in second in the NYC Entrepreneur awards without infrastructure or budget.I speak internationally on the following topics: 5G, Disruptive Technologies, Mobile, Internet of Things, Cloud, Big Data, Technology Convergence, Enterprise Architecture, Web Services, Web Technologies, Open Source Technology, Configuration Management, Content Management, Persistent Session Management, XML Messaging, Taxonomy, Unified Communications and Technology Organizational Realignment. Please contact me for speaking opportunities. My goal is to show people that technology is about creation not code, and that it's part of everything. I want change the way people think on a global scale, even if I have to do it one company, client or conference at a time.
