Joe Kittel has worked in the field of strategic alliances for over 35 years. For over 17 years, he did strategic alliance development at Hewlett-Packard. For the past 18 years, Joe has been focused on the practical application of spiritual (relationship-deepening) principles to help alliance managers transform their relationships to increase their value-creating effectiveness.http://spibr.org/Joe's_alliance_work.jpg In 1989, Joe established his first strategic alliance – a multi-year, co-resident and collaborative-R&D relationship that provided advanced object-oriented technology into HP's C++ SoftBench product (a software development tool) and it enabled US West Communications (a major telecommunications company) to successfully migrate their massive Billing and Customer Care Systems from Cobol to C++ with a 10x improvement in software quality.In 1997, he helped establish Hewlett-Packard’s corporate-level strategic alliance with Microsoft, leading company-wide initiatives and negotiations in some of the most strategically contentious areas (e.g., UNIX/NT interoperability, object technology, and cryptography).
