As a Fire Prevention Officer, I was responsible for completing various types of inspections in new and existing businesses, schools, and other City property to ensure the safety of all citizens. In this position, I also was head of public education and community outreach, completed fire investigations, and was successful in raising funds for the needs of Public Education. It was my responsibility to provide second-to-none client service, renew existing partnerships, develop & implement new safety training for businesses, establish & maintain substantial connectedness in the community, attended community events, coordinate & deliver unique polished safety presentations with confidence.Certificates include, Fire Instructor 1&2, Fire Inspector 1, NFA Fire/Arson Origin & Cause Investigation, Hazardous Materials Technician, L.S.I. In this role, I responded and provided support to all emergencies involving structure, car or grass fires, vehicle accidents, emergency medical services, water rescues, confined space rescue, hazardous materials, building collapse, and more.
