About Joel Binder

I am a partner in the Toronto office of Stikeman Elliott and national Co-Chair of our Corporate Finance & Securities Group. I have a broad practice with significant experience in complex corporate finance, public and private M&A and transactional work. I frequently represent public issuers, investment dealers, private equity funds, public and private bidders and targets, and boards of directors. I also advise on governance and securities compliance matters and am often retained for my expertise in investment trusts and other retail structured products. I am currently a member of the TSX Advisory Committee and I am a past director of two public companies. I also sat on the Toronto office Management Committee for over 10 years.
