Joel is a Certified Financial Planner, with the FPA, and has completed an Accounting Degree and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. In early 2002 he commenced his career as a cadet with Darcy Kennedy (now Crowe Horwath) and over the following years worked in a number of different roles including Accounting, SMSF Accounting and Para Planning. Joel then progressed to become a Senior Financial Planner and in 2014 was appointed Associate Principal.Joel then went into practice for himself in early 2017 starting IEC Financial Advisory Pty Ltd. Joel specialises in portfolio wealth management and in providing quality strategic and investment advice. His experience covers financial planning, including gearing, managed funds, superannuation, direct equities, life insurance, self managed super funds, super fund borrowing arrangements, centrelink advice and general retirement planning.Joel firmly believes that every client should have a sound plan to achieve their financial and lifestyle goals, and as part of that plan, should have strategies that maximise the opportunities available.In 2012 Joel was named in the Wealth Professional's Top 50 Advisors in Australia, recognising him as a top performer across the industry.Outside of work Joel keeps active with running and playing touch football.
