A trusted consultant and thought influencer, my interdisciplinary success has allowed me to break down silos and to help people from disparate professions both collaborate and succeed.Additionally, much of my content effort has been devoted to prevention science and the study and practice of resilience. As one of the first to re-conceptualize resilience as a skill rather than a fixed quality, I helped found the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD). CERD’s highly effective methods have helped thousands of individuals and organizations, while garnering attention from major media outlets, from the New York Times to NPR. Our efforts have also proven valuable to multiple national and international government entities, as demonstrated by our collaborations with non-profit organizations, public agencies and businesses, ranging from major airlines to schools. I have deep experience in promoting and developing resilience skills across business, health, education, and non-profit sectors. For these efforts, we received prestigious Corporate Vision Magazine’s unsolicited 2019 Private Education and Development Award for “pioneering” work in “resilience skills training and development."
