As part of a team at a leading Demand-Side Platform (DSP) specializing in hyper-local Connected TV (CTV) advertising solutions, I contributed to developing a high-performance programmatic advertising platform. Backend development involved Golang and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, BigQuery, and CloudSQL, ensuring the platform remained scalable, reliable, and responsive to client needs.Efforts also involved designing a data management architecture for Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and developing data pipelines utilizing Python, Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer), GCP VPC Service Controls, GCS, and Cloud Data Loss Prevention (DLP), ensuring secure and compliant handling of sensitive data.Work on version-controlled schema migrations in CloudSQL/Postgres aimed to maintain transactional integrity and scalability. Additionally, a Merkle-tree-based target change detection algorithm in Golang was introduced, resulting in a 90% reduction in sanity check execution time, significantly enhancing platform efficiency.REST and gRPC services were implemented for campaign metadata management, supporting low-latency, high-throughput environments. Participation in transitioning authentication to a federated SAML/Okta-based identity provider strengthened security measures. An authorization framework was introduced to address OWASP API1:2023 vulnerabilities, reinforcing fine-grained access control. The launch of the company’s first public-facing API, integrated with Apigee, expanded external integrations and enabled partner access.
