Researching Saltmarsh Sparrow and Seaside Sparrow abundance and breeding success. I also aided with invasive plant removal and tidal marsh hydrology. Found and monitored over 200 nests in one summer.

Found and monitored Nelson's Sparrows nests in Dykeland and Saltmarsh habitats. Deployed iButtons and banded nestlings to determine differences in nesting ecology of sparrows between two landscapes. Conducted marsh bird surveys and sampled invertebrate productivity in impoundments.

Found and monitored over 150 Saltmarsh Sparrow nests. Mist netted and banded Saltmarsh Sparrows. Assessed the bird population and vegetation distribution using Saltmarsh Habitat & Avian Research Program (SHARP) protocol vegetation and callback surveys. Presented research findings to scientific community and public through oratory.

Conducted waterbird point counts through Fall, Winter, and Spring on coastal Rhode Island. Tracked the presence, distribution, and abundance of 50+ aquatic bird species. Supervised by Dr. Martina Müller.
