✔ Oversaw reliability and operation of the PPL Transmission system and leadership of Maintenance Engineering, Asset and Investment Strategy, and the Real-Time Operations Analysis departments consisting of 39 total employees to ensure best-in-class PPL system performance. Achieved top decile industry performance, delivering PPL’s best reliability year on record. Initiated emissions analysis to bolster existing minimal environmental sustainability efforts and reduced substation environmental gas emissions by 90%, leading data-informed maintenance decision activities. Reduced emissions achievement submitted for an industry award. Influenced evolution of investment strategies and improved industry performance, orchestrating the development of new transmission system measures and reporting processes to assess true value as measured by customer interruptions avoided with company’s investments.

✔ Managed and maintained the engineering department, overseeing all identification and performance of equipment maintenance, ensuring reliability of the entire PPL transmission and substation systems of approximately 180,000 individual assets. Held responsibility of $40M annual maintenance budget, meeting targeted budget within 1% YOY. Pioneered strategic movement within PPL EU and created core competency that integrated statistical analysis into routine practices and emergent events. Responsible for zero defects with the energizing and commissioning of ~$630M in substation and transmission assets annually, eliminating costly man-hours in fixes. Lead company’s UAV strategy and became one of the first utilities to receive FAA exemption. Cultivated and engaged the team efforts and expertise in supporting the electrical system operations, leading major events focused on response and restoration.

✔ Led and advised stakeholders and Senior Management of risks and strategic opportunities, while leading team to oversee $40M Transmission and Substation business line operation and maintenance (O&M) budget and $415M in annual revenue. Reduced operations and maintenance (O&M) expense by $9M+, identifying faulty process controls and implementing corrective action activities. Led the ongoing development of control processes to maintain O&M reductions through continuous pursuit of enhanced controls. Oversaw process for improvement, development, standardization, and monitoring of all performance indicators including industry benchmarking for best practices and first quartile goals. Administered budget process for five-year business plan and $3.1B transmission budget to ensure all deliverables and requirements were met to comply with internal and external guidelines.

✔ Directed staff responsible for daily operations within both the retail and production environments. Held responsible for all relevant financial data to support seasonal production planning process, monthly forecasting, and development of profit maximizing strategies. Increased profit by enhancing productivity and automation through customized machinery. Generated forecasts to develop and execute a profit maximizing strategy, utilizing historical sales and customer trends.
