Managed full CEMS system replacement for two boilers.-Controls system management, maintenance, and integration on multiple control platforms across the site. Including: modifying code, troubleshooting, calibrating instruments.-Identifying and completing capital projects through all phases from origination to completion. -updating software/firmware,maintaining software licenses, and installation of new components.-Maintenance, repair, replacement, and calibration of all controls systems and process control elements and instrumentation. -Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting and repair-Recording and reporting of all plant emissions data to government regulatory agencies. -working with site electrician to complete electrical upgrades, projects, and modifications.-initial troubleshooting of protective relay systems. -predictive maintenance systems management including thermal/vibration analysis on large medium voltage motors, and turbine/generator systems. The facility houses two steam driven generating turbines, two fuel oil combustion turbines that I worked to maintain along with a fuel handling plant that converts muncipal solid waste to RefuseDerived Fuel.
Packaging/Controls Specialist
I began my time at the company as a processing/packaging mechanic. I then was promoted to a packaging/controls specialist. This role involved multiple repsonsibilities. I have a proven above average troubleshooting ability and in this position I was called upon in cases where normal troubleshooting means had proven unsuccessful. I was also responsible for making programming changes to machines and program logic edits. When equipment was being brought to the plant or moved within the plant I was involved in the project planning, installation, and start-up of the equipment. Additionally I was a site expert trainer. This duty included attending training at other plant locations throughout the country and coming back to my site and training the mechanics at the local site, additionally I have supported other plants with training their mechanics and assisting with upgrading and installing new equipment. For the last few years I was heavily involved in packaging automation projects. These projects aimed to automate the packaging room fully with corrugate case erection, corrugate case packing, and automated palletizing of flexible package sizes with single touch changeover equipment. As a national contact working for a cross functional corporate engineering team I frequently was working both in and out of country installing, training operations and maintenance on, designing, and implementing proprietary flexible packaging solutions that resulted in high levels of labor and material cost reduction.
