Our pioneering simulations are working to reduce phyiscal (bench, animal & human) testing, rapidly optimising device and process performance. We have been responsible for ground-breaking simulation and experimental work on the following:■ Modelling, simulation and testing of medical devices, validated according to FDA / ASTM V&V 40 standard methods■ Bioprocess modelling for scale-up, determining key drivers of process performance■ High volume, viscous subcutaneous injection research (experimental & modelling) including on-body injector optimisationOther areas of work in medical devices include manufacturing robustness studies, surgical technology, inhalers, suspension flows.Consumer Goods: We use maths, physics and computer simulation to improve manufacturing and assembly processes. This often involves determining the root cause of product failures or identifying opportunities for improvement. Examples include Foods Conveying, Blow-Moulding, Ultrasonic Welding, Snap-fits and other bespoke assembly processes. Products include plastic bottles (foods and homecare), alternative proteins & aerosol cans.
