I am a regional security director supporting approximately 110 facilities comprised of distribution centers, labs and corporate offices. In this role I provide counsel to a variety of businesses on any type of security issues. Things such as:Investigations (Workplace Violence, Threat Assessment, Supply Chain Security, Theft, Substance Abuse, Fraud, Diversion, Ethics/Business Conduct)Security Systems (Supply Chain oriented, CCTV, Card Access, Intrusion Detection)Training/Awareness (Workplace Violence, Threat Assessment/Active Assault-Shooter, Substance Abuse, Risk Management, Issue Resolution, Security Operations Management)Security Operations (Supporting facilities on security staffing operations with operating procedures and training/awareness)Executive Protection (Special Company Events supporting executives and/or large numbers of employees)Business Resiliency / Crisis Management (Supporting various part of the Central USA and all of Canada through issues such as Severe Weather, Facility Related Issues, WPV, Reduction in Force, Supply Chain Interruptions and Facility Impacts that could effect an operations ability to work from their current location)I enjoy the work, the best part about the position is helping folks see and understand what security in a corporate environment is all about. I enjoyed the opportunity of working as my own "boss", but with the economy, it was a struggle building a business to stand on its own. A former director, Greg Halvacs, who is now the Chief Security Office, Senior Vice President at Cardinal Health asked me if I was interested in working with him, well, the opportunity was too good to pass up. So, for right now, I'm working in full time in the corporate world again, its where I'm most comfortable and I believe best suited for now, but I look forward to the chance to be a consultant again.

I began my career as a corporate security manager responsible for security operations for five corporate buildings, including the headquarters facility in Northfield, IL. I progressed into a region security manager's role supporting the south and west portions of the United States and prior to becoming a victim of a RIF, I was a Sr. Security Manager responsible for North American Investigations and Protective Services.

I began my career as a security officer, prior to taking a position as a site security supervisor for Motorola Lighting in Buffalo Grove, Il where I was responsible for building a security program. I progressed into a business unit security supervisor where I supported two business units in building and maintaining site security operations program. Prior to leaving Motorola to take a position with Kraft Foods, I was a Business Sector Security Supervisor where I supported a number of business units in building and maintaining site security programs as well as training and awareness. I also designed and managed the event security program for Motorola's Indy Car program which allowed me the unique and awesome opportunity to travel all over the world, work and meet some really great people. I miss those days, I really enjoyed that opportunity and remember it with a smile every chance I get.
