Good posture is an important defense against tension, pain, and injury. Preventing injuries and working comfortably at a computer calls for a continuing balance between good postural alignment and ergonomic positioning of equipment to encourage good posture. I teach individuals how to achieve this balance. First, I teach a single movement pattern that releases tension and automatically realigns posture. Second, I teach a set of four ergonomic principals for positioning equipment which when followed, maintains this good posture.In addition to teaching how to prevent injuries and work comfortably, I am an OSHA Safety & Health Specialist focusing on computer workstation ergonomics. I provide information regarding optimum available ergonomic workstation equipment, chairs, desks, etc., and IT computer equipment, including keyboard and mouse.I created Direct Position/Kenebowe Ergonomics in 1992 for the purpose of helping individuals and organizations achieve a healthy workplace. What differentiates my work from other forms of ergonomic education is my vital knowledge of movement, gained through 35 years of teaching individuals how to generate good postural alignment while working.
