Originally a code developer, I have functionally served in the roles of Business Analyst, Process Analyst and Product Owner for the majority of my IT career. While all of these roles predominetly require both critical thinking and problem solving, the Analyst and PO roles equally require strong communication skills to be successful and they are driven first through the ability to collaborate and draw consensus among subject matter experts and stakeholders. The desired result is a clear understanding of the value that a proper technology solution may provide and a path to execute its delivery.
