Cross-project Electrical Engineer within ScottishPower/Iberdrola Renewables' Global Offshore Project Services directorate.Responsible for driving design optimisation, budgeting, programming, risk management, equipment specifying, contract tendering and management, design reviewing, witnessing factory acceptance testing, and coordinating transport, installation and commissioning for both onshore and offshore substation high voltage equipment project packages, at various stages of an offshore wind farm project's lifecycle. This equipment consists of power transformers, gas-insulated switchgear, air-insulated switchgear, shunt reactors, static synchronous compensators, harmonic filters, earthing auxiliary transformers and neutral earthing reactors, at voltage levels of 66kV up to 400kV.Assigned throughout to the 496MW, €2.5bn Saint-Brieuc project in France. Also, on an ad-hoc basis, provided support and technical assistance for the development of the 3.1GW EAHUB project in the UK, the development of the ~2GW New England Wind projects in the USA, and bidding for the ~800MW Thor project in Denmark.In addition to project work, this role involved various departmental duties: joint industry partnerships company representative; recording and implementation of lessons learned; cost benefit analyses; supplier engagement; and writing standard specifications.

Assigned to Iberdrola’s Saint Brieuc offshore wind farm project team and subsequently the New England Wind offshore wind farms project team, performing Project Package Management duties.

Assigned to several Iberdrola international offshore wind farm projects to perform various engineering and management roles.
