I graduated from the University of York in 2010. After taking a year long break to raise funds, I began my Masters by Reasearch at the University of Nottingham in the laboratory of Prof. David Brook studying the link between various acetyl transfer proteins and TBX5 in Zebrafish.The next year I began my PhD at the University of Oxford and the Medical Research Council at their Mammalian Genetic Unit at Harwell. There I studied under Dr. Andy Greenfield finding the molecular mechanisms by which Gadd45g regulates Sry expression in mammalian sex determination. I graduated from The University of Oxford in 2017 and worked on getting my United States greencard. When I moved to the US in 2018 I began a 2 year NIH T32 funded Post Doctoral Fellowship at Boston University with Dr. Francesca Seta studying the role of Bcl11b in maintaining arterial complience and elasticity.
