Throughout my career I have been successful in IT positions in many different industries. From HIPPA compliant health care companies to cutting edge creative businesses, I have been able to innovate and streamline. Regardless of the industry and the type of work I am doing, I take pride in being a dedicated, apt and loyal employee who never loses site of his company's goals. I embrace challenge, and am adept at functioning individually or in a team setting. As an effective communicator, I've realized the rewards of thorough documentation and never pass up opportunity to train others.Currently I oversee over 250 production batch processes (bash, ksh, perl etc) all of which I have written from scratch or rewritten. With thousands of jobs running weekly, the job failure percentage was around 8 percent when I acquired this position. We were continually running and rerunning batch processes during peak business times. Through commitment and organization our failure percentage is currently around 1/100th of one percent. We went from a company that had no idea of what was running and when, to a business with measures in place to immediately detect and resolve problems. By focusing on security and documentation, audit requirements are easily satisfied with little time and effort wasted. Through a dedication to our clients I've helped maintain and acquire new customers, and have earned several customer service awards along the way.In addition to my system administration roles, I have created both time sheet and task management systems (PHP/MySql/Apache) ,which are in use company wide. These easy to use and efficient systems have replaced our old Helpdesk software while adding visibility into financial, inventory and time tracking aspects of our business. Project management skills coupled with over a decade of system administration experience have allowed me to quickly design and implement software solutions which are scalable, secure and irreplaceable.
