Lead software engineer for LM Manassas portion of a Virginia Port Authority surveillance system. My responsibilities include tasking the Manassas team, and leading the conversion of the MIDAS portion of the system to use advanced J2EE technologies and reduce cost by adopting lower cost software suites (JBoss vs. Weblogic). Presented technical demonstrations to prospective customers and key LM executives.

Common Situation Assessment DisplayResponsible for leading a medium-sized team of developers of varying experiences in the development of an R&D Information Management System that is a key technology in the pursuit of new lines of business. Core development is in Java, focusing on J2EE, and also involves using the ArcGIS cartographic libraries to provide a dynamic C4I display.NSS Security ShieldI was a key contributor to the software requirements of Lockheed Martin’s solution for Qatar’s national security program. I also lead the software integration in-country for a month long demonstration of Lockheed Martin’s proposed system. In addition to integrating & troubleshooting the demo system, the responsibilities also include the presentation of the system to high-ranking military officials of Qatar, as well as the heir-apparent of their Emir.Trident Warrior ‘06I served as the Manassas software lead for development & integration of a C4I system used in the Trident Warrior Naval experiment. This involved coordinating with leads from other LM business units as well as from government laboratories, and developing the interfaces & implementations that enabled the system to perform above and beyond its expectations.

R&D:Ported the command and control system from the Virginia class submarine to Java, and worked to integrate the system with various other Lockheed Martin products to form an Information Management System that became the T3 (Transformational Tactical Technology) system. I also served as the lead integration engineer for Manassas during the Fleet Battle Experiment Juliet, which showcased Lockheed Martin’s prototype for the Littoral Combat Ship.Transformational Tactical Technology (T3)Worked as the primary developer for the T3 Information Management System, enhancing the system and integrating it with other companies systems for various Naval experiments. Key technologies utilized include Java, J2EE, and CORBA across a variety of platforms. Also worked on re-factoring code to more effectively use J2EE architecture and better Object-Oriented architecture. During this time, I also served as a the software integration lead during Silent Hammer, a Joint Military experiment that showcased Lockheed Martin’s SSGN Battle Management Center.Sphere Array Narrow Band:Brought onto a fledgling project to get it up to speed, and worked on displaying waterfall gram data and archiving the data for retrieval, as well as cross language data handling between C++ and Java. The system was inserted onto the submarine fleet as part of a technology refresh, and was much lauded for the new capabilities that it provided.
