As the Perception and Safeguarding Lead on the autonomous vehicle platform, my role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities related to the delivery of advanced sensing and safeguarding solutions. I take ownership of the entire process, from designing and developing sensor-based solutions to their implementation and integration.In this capacity, I am responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge sensor-based solutions. This includes developing algorithms, selecting appropriate controllers, defining detailed interfaces for controllers and subsystems, ensuring a seamless user experience, establishing efficient data ingress pipelines, integrating perception systems, and managing wireless communication and control.Additionally, I play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of projects by creating comprehensive project plans, defining project scopes, and coordinating resources to guarantee timely and successful project delivery. Collaboration is vital, and I work closely with engineers to effectively integrate sensors into various products and systems, fostering collaboration and synergy among teams.To stay ahead in this rapidly evolving field, I continuously keep myself updated on the latest advancements in sensor technology and market trends. This enables me to provide valuable strategic insights and recommendations, ensuring that the solutions I develop align with industry best practices and anticipate future needs.

Rotational Program of John DeereRotation 1:Developed and tested the Flags application for the Gen4 Display. This app would allow you to mark current locations in the field with different boundaries that can be seen in future passes. I was able to develop the app from start to finish and get it into production.Rotation 2:Initially developed the See and Spray Select technology for the embedded controllers. Focused on the exact apply nozzle software to manipulate the functionality needed for See and Spray. Worked alongside User Experience in order to get the initial production intent app in place.Managed an interns project as well that involved machine learning as a technology research for future projects. Rotation 3:Worked on stereo camera technology for the use in the field to control specifics aspects of machine performance. Optimized and developed algorithms used for classification.

My main project consisted of the development and testing of a new design framework that is still currently being developed as of the end of my internship. My role was to create a specific portion of the design framework. This included the creation of the frame, methods, training, guides, and presentations. Also, I gained and improved many new skills such as systems engineering tools, ability to view problems in different perspectives, communication skills, organizational skills, and teamwork.My side project dealt with the radios on the vehicles. Determining which functionalities and controls should be kept, changed, and or removed for the next generation radio. This includes arm rest, display, and face plate controls which will be changed in the near future. Required a deep understanding of the different radios and controls each vehicle has and required the use of system tools in order to identify the most essential controls and functions that will maximize the data to make a decision. I also used this project for the testing of my frame mentioned above.

Instructed high school students to create a working FM radio transmitter that they could listen to themselves speak or plug in their phone to play music on a FM station. Taught new skills such as soldering and interpreting circuit diagrams.

Supervised participants during experiment and scheduled appointments. Gathered and analyzed large amounts of data using software to record user input.

Troubleshoot user issues, learn new technologies quickly to help fix widespread problems users have and fix issues with hardware, including desktops and printers.

Providing exceptional customer service, resolving conflicts between employees and customers, and making sure everyone is doing their job. Also, making sure that inventory was up to date along with filling in positions that needed to be filled for a certain day.
