Being around a swath of technology always makes me feel at home. It doesn't matter if it's in a data center surrounded by servers or at home surrounded by my computers. That actually led to an interest in networking: How can I use all these computers in tandem without compromising what I'm using them for? This begged another question: How can I configure the OS in the most optimal way to get the results I want? How can I give them unique identifiers? How can I prove that I am indeed using all 4 my computers!? (Seriously, try justifying 4 computers surrounding you on all at the same time to your family. Half way through, they'll give up trying to understand anyway).I'm a FOSS enthusiast (no, I'm not going to use FLOSS, Stallman). All my devices run Linux and make me feel more in control of my systems (2 Pop!_OS, 2 Chromebooks, and a Thinkpad with Arch). I make it a point to attend an open source conference at least once a year (usually Southeast Linux Fest).I always have a hunger to learn more about anything, especially technology. I suppose that's what drives most passionate IT professionals though.
