In all my years at Gentex, I've had only one job title: to wear as many hats as possible. Working for a company with a unique management structure has provided me an opportunity to engage in many different roles, and no boundary or limit on where I can affect my work to the company's success. "Ownership Mentality" is one of the company's foundations. To me, this means I own the responsibility to act and engage where I can. Those places have been throughout the supply chain, through the product evolution (from concept through manufacturing), and in other tangents relevant to Gentex's business. I own the responsibility to be vocal to my co-workers, to be insightful, inspirational, cautious to risks, and to mentor as the previous generation of leadership was to me. "Unpretentious Management" is another company foundation. The title is not 100% true to its definition. It really means to be humble, to serve others before my own interests. To always be accessible and available for others. And to this day, no job is below me. We do whatever is necessary to make the best products, at the highest quality, at a price point that makes all involved at Gentex the best profit possible.
