For the Toyota Car Club Australia, I've volunteered for many events over the years. The club runs car shows and events for charities such as Beyond Blue, Fred Hollows, Lost Children's services, and cancer research. The car club does this as we try and set an example of how car enthusiasts really are. We also use it as a method of doing good in the community by trying to impact as many people as possible. I usually am collecting entry money, directing cars where to park, controlling them when they leave, and so on.

Hybrid Battery Rebuilds Australia (HBRA) started in late 2015 where we began by rebuilding Toyota hybrid batteries. It started as a side project out the back of an automotive workshop where it quickly evolved into a business in its own right. I started in 2017 and implemented many new processes relating to quality, safety and efficiency. We began to transition into supplying new batteries aswell as rebuilt ones. HBRA is a wholesaler of hybrid batteries for a wide range of vehicles including Japanese imports. We supply and support many automotive workshops around Australia with knowledge and parts. We also export hybrid batteries to Fiji, New Zealand and Europe. From April 2022, HBRA has transitioned and merged to be apart of IM Group based in Hallam. This transition allows us to have a further reach than we ever imagined, with our knowledge and IM Group’s network, together we can help more people than ever before.

This was my first job and I started off just doing the basic cleaning, serving customers and answering phones. But in the end I was dealing with suppliers, doing the majority of helicopter repairs as well as drones, planes and cars.- Doing opening and closing procedures.- Mail orders- Warranties- Ordering of Stock- Website updating - Running RC car drives at local fates - Taking customers out to fields to show them how to use their new dronesAs a small business, a person does a little bit of everything. So you get a sense of all business operations.

I was a more involved delivery driver for Domino's as I would do opens and closes. This entails prepping ingredients to make sure that we didn't run out when busy. Closing procedures is cleaning all dishes, washing and sanitising benches and floors nightly. I also took initiative by helping my manager with his closing procedures.

I did this only briefly over the summer period. We were set up inside the Ringwood Costco where we sold Vodafone contracts, renewals, prepaids, outrights and phone accessories. The job was highly based on commission that you really had to work for. It was completely sales driven and a completely different take on what I was used too. It pushed me completely out of my comfort zone.My role included :- Meeting sales targets- Coaching of other team members- Opening and Closing procedures- Spruiking- Following up all customer queries- Dealing with Vodafone as setting up or modifying customer accounts.
