Layton Manufacturing is a company that specializes in the Design, Manufacture, and Sale of Machinery. We have three areas of specialty, Asphalt Paving Equipment, Food Processing Equipment, and Equipment for the Manufactured Home Set-up Industry. In addition to our own proprietary equipment, we have the ability to design and manufacture custom equipment.My role at Layton as Procurement Manager, overseeing the purchasing and production control departments. Some of my roles require me to manage the various computer systems including Concerto, our critical chain scheduling software and Traverse, our ERP system. Traverse manages our inventory, bills of material, sales orders and work orders. I apply six sigma principles when addressing quality control, resource planning and root-cause analysis both process and personnel.
